Yes, I just heard as well... I am glad as well that he chose her. I hear she is fantastic. She has 5 children, one has down syndrome.
But she knows her stuff.

THE FIGHT IS ON! McCain made a brilliant, God led choice, in my thinking, and those led by darkness are coming out visciously. Still, we all know that what God has begun, He is faithful to complete.
I also believe that Christians have been humbling themselves before their maker, repenting and praying as never before for their Land, and we are seeing God moving.

It is interesting that we are seeing wonderfully, anointed, powerful (in the Lord), very human Christians, being used of God. I am speaking of Lou Engles with his wonderful revival in Fla. and his great march in Washington, D.C., publically having to deal with a separation in his marriage. I am also referring to Sarah Palin hitting such a strong note as the Vice-Presidential running mate of McCain and the sudden revelation that her 17 yr. old daughter is pregnant out of wedlock.

Does this make both vessels less worthy of the job God has placed in their hands? I say No. As for Palin's daughter, I see her pregnancy as proof that her mother is a true advocate for the 'right to life' and she & her father are parents dealing with the harsh realities of life and frailities of a beloved child.

I am hopeful that we Evangelicals and other denominations of Christ, have grown into mature believers that will stand with our brethern in their human moments of frailty; That we will see the greater job at hand by covering them in prayer while continuing to be a humble people crying out for our Land, and agreeing with the choices God has made.

Thank you for your comments!
worshippingeagle I so agree with you about seeing Christian's-I also see that we are humbling ourselves before the Lord and repenting. Seeing so many turn back to God is so encouraging.
As for politics we need to hold them all to the same standards and since a daughters pregnancy would not prevent me from casting my vote for any other candidate - I can confidently cast my vote for McCain/Palin...
To be honest the allegations of corruption would weigh in my decision for any candidate - so I have to wait and see what the truth of the matter is concerning whether or not she used her office to get her brother in law fired...
I also know that accusations can be thrown around and work us into emotional decisions and only to find out there was not there-there...so I am working on being disciplined not to be carried away with emotion and learn to wait it through...thanks largely to the media...we can hear a "news" item that makes us rejoice only to be disappointed when the full truth comes out or we can become (angry) and discouraged by a news item only to realize that the first report was over stating a minor event...so caution tells me not to react to the first reports but wait and see ....
again thanks for your comments...

Debrah,

Thanks for stopping byband saying Hi! I am on the road with my husband. He has a conference in Wytheville, VA. We arrived here at 5:30 pm today. We had hoped to get an early start this morning (6:00 am) but did not leave home until around 11:30 am.

We had a good trip even though we came through rain practically all the way.

Mr. Plant Lady serves on a board of a Resource Conservation and Development Council here in NC and the annual meeting is in Wytheville this year. He has meetings all day tomorrow, but I will be out and about sight-seeing.

I have signed up for a fall wreath-making class tomorrow (they have activities for the spouses). If I finish it, I'll try to post a picture of it.

Thanks for thinking of me today. We will appreciate your prayers while we are here and for the return trip.

Blessings~
