The 30 + 1 day Challenge

Admittedly I have been having a difficult time keeping commitments so I am calling this a challenge. I am taking the pressure off self because although I would like to do this for 30 consecutive days...I know that if I miss a day or two ...I can just pick up where I left off.
30 + 1 Day Challenge
Each day read
5 Psalms (30 Days)
1 Proverb (31 Days)
and for those who wish to take it up a notch any one of the four gospels - one chapter each day
Matthew (28 Days)
Mark (16 Days)
Luke (24 Days)
John (21 Days)

Praying Psalm 33

Praise you Lord Jesus for you are faithful, compassionate, just and truthful. Praise you Lord Jesus for you are mighty and powerful to save.

Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous for praise is comely for the upright.
Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltry and an instrument of ten strings.
Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise
For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
He loveth righteousness and judgment: The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
Psalm 33:1-5

Praise you Lord that we have no need to fear the counsel of men because there is none that can counsel against you. You O Lord just speak a Word and it is done. There is none that can successfully device a scheme against your will and purpose for the earth and all its inhabitants.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, at it stood fast.
The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
Psalm 33:6-10

Thank you Lord that it is your will and your pupose that will endure. It is the nation(s) that recognize and honor you as God who will be blessed. Nothing and no one is hid from you. Lord you see all things even the inward motive of man.

The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughs of his heart to all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
The Lord looketh from heaaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
He fashoneth their hearts alike; he considerth all their works.
Psalm 33:11-15

Lord there is no army, nor multitude that can save us from the wrath that is to come. Salvation if found in Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ alone. Let us keep our faith, hope, trust and expectation on the Lord Jesus Christ. He is mighty to save.

There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine
Our soul waitheth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
For our heart sall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, acording as we hope in thee.
Psalm 33:16-22

Heavenly Father all praise, honor and glory belong to you. It is through you and you alone that our nation has prospered and been protected these many years. It is through you that we were able to enjoy such a glorious freedom for so long. Father forgive us for all the ways we have turned from you and your will and purpose for our nation. Forgives us for caring for the ways of the world rather than the ways of our Heavenly Father and Creator. Lord lead into repentance and revive us so that we will once again become a nation whose God is the Lord. I ask this Father for our individual condition before you and that we would stand in the gap for our families, our churches, communities and nation. I ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior

Prayer Request

Prayer Request

1) Women of the Bible Discussion Series - Saturday February 14th...This month we will be discussing Esther and for some reason I am having difficulty with this study. I ask the Lord to give me wisdom, discernment and understanding on how to lead the discussion. That the Holy Spirit would speak to the heart and mind of each woman encouraging them to engage in the discussion. That the word of the Lord will take root in our hearts and guide us to walk closer with the Lord Jesus.

2) That the hearts and the minds of the women will be touched for the unborn. That they will sign and send the letters to our Senators and Congressman asking them to oppose FOCA. That we will keep this in prayer. Also that we would seek the Lord asking Him to establish a crises pregnancy center in our community.

3) Community Prayer - Friday February 20th- may all who attend be of like minds in the Lord Jesus. That the Holy Spirit will stir our brothers and sisters in Christ to join with us to pray for the Lord's will for our community. That the seeds of revival will be watered and nourished and take deep root in our community.

4) That the prayer meetings that already have begun in this community continue to grow in depth and knowledge of the Lord and His will. That there would be a renewed commitment and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

5) For a great hunger for the word of God to spread throughout the community and that the Lord will raise up teachers of the word. That we would stay true to His word- rooted and grounded in Him

I ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I too will be taking a time out

For awhile I have felt that I wanted to write/comment and did not know what to write/comment.
I know that the Lord has asked me several times in the last few years to come away and spend time with Him. I confess I have not really responded with my whole heart. I have not given the Lord my full attention. I even doubted that I heard correctly. I know that others are also experiencing this call and are taking time away from blogging. I just read Edie's blog about taking a time out and sense that I also need to finally heed the call. So I too will be taking a time out.

JEREMIAH 27:19-22

JEREMIAH 27:19-22 For thus saith the Lord of host concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city. Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; Yea, thus saith the Lord of host, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem; They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the Lord; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

God is telling His people not only will the vessels of gold not be returning from Babylon(at this time) but the vessels that remained in the house of all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem will be carried to Babylon. That they are to remain there until a time that is appointed by God. Whether God is blessing a nation or judging a nation - the wise servant will be obedient to God and the prophet of God. Beware of those who prophesy in opposition of the work that God is doing and the word that He is declaring.
