I just visited GRN site and there is a request for prayer for the people of Loka,Sudan...A group calling themselves LRA ( I believe the letters stand for the Lord's resistant army.) have entered a village and took 45 people with them and one boy lost everything..there is much tension....they request prayer ...for specific information please go to the GRN site. Loka is where GRN have rebuilt a school.

Debrah,
You are to be commended for the work you are doing with your community and the intercessory pray for those who are far away but need the help and prayers of Christians.

Debrah,
Thanks for your comments.
I really appreciate your friendship and I know that God appreciates your encouragement given to others.
I'd just like to mention that I see your passion for the "Persecuted Church." I have been recieving a magazine from Voice of the Martyrs and I have a pull-out map of the areas of the world that have struggling churches that are being persecuted. I have prayed for those people in each country and have enjoyed hearing their testimonies.
Blessings~

Debrah,
I tagged you. Visit my blog for the instructions. You're a great friend! I'm excited to learn six new things about you!

Debrah,
You and I are somewhat alike. My husband and I left a church that I grew up in, in 1978 and have never regretted it. We have been at our present church 20 years this year. However, our founding pastor (who was fantastic, humbling, and always had time for you in a church of over 2,000)resigned about 4 or 5 years ago. The new pastor is great but everything seems to have changed. I had back surgery a year ago in May and did not go to church very much until a 3 pm service was started for senior adults. The pastor for that service died and his son was hired who is an excellent pastor, but that service was done away with. I went to the big church a few times but things were so different I just didn't feel right. Also I still have problems in my back and can't stand very long or walk very far.
However, I'm not one to go from church to church. This is my church and I now can see that things are changing and getting back to some of the basics. God never left me and I never left Him. He has been my source of strength. I truly lean on Him because I don't want to miss Heaven. I've come too far to turn back now.
As far as the links to others, all you would have to do is list their name and type the web address to their blog. Take a look at Nicole's and see how she did hers. I printed hers out as I did the Award and basically followed what they did. The links that are included in the name I just learned how to do. It's simple but if your not comfortable with that and still want to try use Nicole's method. It's a good way to get to learn about the other bloggers.
You are doing a good work on your blog and are very encouraging to us all, so don't give up.
God bless,
AliceE.
