Remember Those Who Are In Bonds

For the last few months we have been meeting once a week to pray for the persecuted church. We pray for those who are in prison and all those who are in nations that are hostile to the Word of God. As we pray for those who are in prison we also pray for their families. Families sometimes find themselves without food or shelter because their spouse or parent are in prison. The other spouse may not have a job or the may not be able to find employment because of the hostility shown to Christians. Their family and communities may turn on them...sometimes families members may beat or even murder them. Children growing up in this atmosphere are especially vulnerable.

This month our main prayer focus is Laos and prisoners in Laos.

The Voice of the Martyrs has a great site -on their PRISONER ALERT -you can compose a letter to a prisoner in their own language, you can look at the Prisoner and the Country Profile.

You have chosen a great group of people to pray for. No many people would not be willing to do that. May God bless and reward you for all that you do for the persecuted church. I usually go back and read what I've written but evidently I didn't this one and I had left one word out so I deleted the previous comment and now it's fixed.
God be with you,
AliceE.

Wow, that song and video really touched my heart! I can't imagine being the one that people were praying for...the one in prison being persecuted. What a great prayer group you are apart of. What an awesome calling but great. May you be blessed for your heart and dedication to this people...our brothers and sisters.

By the way, we don't have any specific way to train our cat. We have a nose maker that we use as cats don't like loud noise. The only thing we've really stuck with is not letting Raz in our bedroom. He really is a smart cat, I say the same thing every time like..."What are you doing in here...turn around and get out now" and then I motion for him to get out. He does a pretty good job of obeying...although he still is persistent sometimes. It's the most difficult for him to not come in when we have our window open in our bedroom as he likes to sit in the window seal. Most of the time he'll sit down outside our room and look in, it's pretty cute. i love to see him submitting. We've really had to work with him. As you know cats are very persistent.

I would love to see a picture of your kitty.

Love,
Nicole
